Tetricus? Barbaric imitation?
« on: October 21, 2020, 05:01:02 pm »
Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Please help with this 1.38 g 13.9 mm coin.
Obverse : legend start with IMP C TE .... so Tetricus I.
I don't recognize the reverse type, it ends in AVG (not very helpful)

Is it a barbaric imitation or an official coin? Is there the chance to find the RIC number?
Possibly - http://numismatics.org/ocre/results?q=tetricus+i+127  ?

Many thanks in advance.

Pretty good style, though on a too-small flan.

Could be a "poor quality" original or high quality imitation.

Local imitation of Tetricus with a SALVS AVG  reverse.
