Flaming torch

Can anyone help me to identify this coin? Asking for a friend so don't have a better photo or dimensions to hand. The coin depicts a hand clasping a torch, possibly with a laurel branch alongside. The other side is too eroded to be able to make anything out. It was found in Somerset, UK.

Any leads much appreciated!

Not a coin or ancient.  Appears to be part of a 20th century medal of some sort.

Thank you, makes perfect sense given the symbolism!
