Metcalf did not see an Aegis, his plate coins are better than mine and RPC copied Metcalf

Eric,

A lot of work has been done to the Koinon of Bithynia at RPC since it was published.  You will find that the section has been expanded greatly.  I know, I did it along with Michel Amandry.  I would not call your coin RPC 975 corr, that implies that 975 was incorrect, which is isn't.  This is a whole new type with the aegis.  You should submit it for inclusion in the catalogue.  You can do that here:
