Elio Biaggi Sesterzi
« on: June 18, 2020, 05:05:23 am »
While my search for provenances for one of my Domitian Sestertii, I found out, that it is listed
in Elio Biaggi, Sesterzi , page 104, number 159.

Unfortunately I have no source for this book.
If someone has it in his library and has the possibility of sending me a picture of the above mentioned page, this would be great.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Simon, here it is.

I wouldn't mind having it in my collection, congratulations!

Dear Alberto,

many thanks for your help!  :)
I guess there is noting noted about further provenances?

Thank you - I really like this reverse type.

Sorry Simon, there is no mention about further provenance.

The book itself isn't really a catalogue, more a photographic book.

It was a nice full color gallery of Rona Sestertii before the internet.

Thanks Alberto,

Interesting that he didn't any notes about where the coin pictures were from (sources) for such a publication.
I guess they were not all from his personal collection::)

Actually all the coins all the coins belonged to his own collection, which was dispersed some time ago.

The late Elio Biaggi was a well known Italian numismatist, who specialized in medieval coins and was author of many books.
