Gallienus goat help with exergue
« on: February 28, 2020, 10:33:20 am »
Anyone figure out the exergue on this one,   Should be sigma,  but this one looks like the letter S (  or symbol 2 from RIC.)

coin is attribute as

AE 19-13-21.96mm  2.8g
OBV  ::  GALLIENVS AVG; Radiate head right
REV  ::  IOVI CONS AVG; goat walking left
EX  ::  S ???
REF  ::  RIC V-1, Rome 207

Anyone confirm what the exergue is

Sigma often looks like a letter S on Roman coins.
