AE quadrans 2.9 gm has legends DS IT ( but not DES IT)
Please let me know your opinion or knowledge about this coin.

It does indeed seem to be an error.  These things happen not commonly but really not of special significance, particularly on small coins.  Technically, it is a rarity, but one that would not be much appreciated.

Probably from a branch mint in Spain or Gaul, explaining the rather clumsy lettering and the omitted E.

I agree with CurtisContemporary Spanish imitations of Claudian quadrans are quite common.  Most capture the legend faithfully, but can be identified by other signs such as serious mis-alignment/off-set strike and/or odd depictions of the modius
