Siliqua questioned
« on: February 22, 2020, 08:37:47 am »
Hi!

Could you please let know your opinions about this siliqua. The edge of the coin is hand-polished, the details are soft mostly, especially around eye.

I bought it based on pictures, but  when i put my hands on it, it appeared to be very weird.

3g, 20mm , 10h (the axes are also in question).

Should this coin be returned?

Thank you for your time.

Z.

The reverse looks more convincing than the obverse.  I am not sure if it is good or bad, but I know I would not touch it.

I agree. The obverse is very soft looking.

It may be genuine but struck with a very worn obverse die, but I cannot say from a photo.

The edge has skratches as if it was polished!

If you are certain, why ask? Can you take photos of the edge.

The pics are attached...sorry for quality as it is tough to photo the edge.

I am looking for a third party opinion as im in conflict with the seller.

The edge does look very bad.
