John Hyrcanus but Not in TJC?
« on: January 28, 2020, 10:25:26 pm »
I just added a prutah of John Hyrcanus to my gallery:
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-159852

The coin is quite small for the type, and I can't seem to find a precise match in Meshorer's TJC. As there does not appear to be a monogram on the coin, it appears by process of elimination to fall within Group F.

Any thoughts about the coin, or my attribution, would be appreciated.
