Help to identify Bulgarian (?) trachy
« on: January 01, 2020, 03:44:49 am »
Happy New Year to everyone.  :)

Would be grateful for any help on this coin.
20mm. 1.53gr.
The ruler on the reverse seems to holding a sword, but I can't make out a thing on the obverse.

Does anyone have any idea? It doesn't seem to match up with any of the Hendy types of the Latin Rulers.  ???

Hi, I don’t think this is a Latin/Bulgarian issue - looks like a Paleologian one. Maybe Andronicus II?
