Scarce Vespasian sestertius with a great patina

Hello everyone,

I'm very pleased to share this beauty, delivered to me today from a recent auction.

It's a large flan sestertius, with a dark green patina and a strong portrait (same die as RIC plate coin).

The Mars reverse was carried over from Vitellius.

A substantial addition to my collection, I think.

A total beauty for sure Alberto. The portrait shows an man of great character and competence. Combined with the historical significance, large flan, beautiful green patina and interesting reverse- the sestertius is a collectors dream.
