A common type on denarii with TR P XVI, occurring either with altar before Genius, or without altar, as here.

With TR P XVII, only the type without altar occurs on denarii, and this is only the fourth spec. known to me, coming from a new, second-attested, rev. die.

The three others, all sharing a rev. die with each other:

In BM, ex my collection, ex Mabbott Sale 1969, lot 4383 (not illustrated in the catalogue).

Private coll. of a Forvm member, acquired c. Jan. 2018, same dies as the Mabbott example.

My new collection, ex Lanz, eBay, 8 May 2013, same rev. die but different obv. die.

The same type also occurs on rare asses, all with altar: a couple of rev. dies with TR P XVI, one of the same dies with TR P XVII, a second I having been added in the die to the tribunician number.

Thanks Curtis. I suspected you would be the one with the answer. :)
