Hello all,

Here is the NFS nomination of the seller 'jim5658'.
A link to their eBay page is:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/jim5658/m.html?item=113252302058&hash=item1a5e5cfcea%3Ag%3ALOUAAOSw~ZJbeCaD&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

However, I suspect that this seller has multiple accounts; the accounts of jim5658 , vespasiana1981 and red-one73

I believe this to be the case because of these similarities between all 3 accounts:
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: They are all based in Tranent (in the UK)
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: All of their coins are listed as bid-now-or-best-offer
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: Their fake coins are of similar quality and rarity
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: All of their coins as listed as round amounts (i.e. £20, not £19.99)
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: They all charge £1.77 for 1st class signed for postage for every item they sell
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: About half of each of their coins have descriptions that have been copied from Wikipedia (including the reference numbers in the text); the other half have descriptions like 'really nice coin'
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: The majority of vespasiana1981's coins are on a red background, most of jim5658's coins are on a white or green background and red-one73's coins are mainly on a blue background. I suspect that the seller has colour-coded the photos so that they know which account they have listed the coin on.
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: The photos are of similar quality
:<a href='../numiswiki/view.asp?key=star' target='_blank'>star</a>: Each of the sellers have bought items from the NFS rainbowraw (Possibly where they get some of their stock from?)

I don't know if this is enough evidence to say that these sellers are one and the same, but their are definitely similarities between their styles of selling. I see on the NFSL you put notes like "aka i_sell_fakes_123", so maybe this should also be the case for jim5658 , vespasiana1981 and red-one73.

In case you need the links again, the seller's eBay pages are as follows:
jim5658
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/jim5658/m.html?item=113252302058&hash=item1a5e5cfcea%3Ag%3ALOUAAOSw~ZJbeCaD&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

vespasiana1981
https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/vespasiana1981?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

red-one73
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/red-one73/m.html?_trksid=p3692

I hope this helps to stop NFSs!

Thanks!,
Harry G

Strong research by Harry G.
The worst crooks on that site are usually following a clear pattern of listing behavior.
Too bad the site does not care in the least.
The compliance function is only for public relations and avoiding direct liability for criminal acts that are even more harmful to humans than fraud.

Thanks PMah,

I have just discovered another account which has similar coins, based in Tranent, all coins listed as buy-now-or-best-offer, charges £1.77 for signed for postage etc... i.e. identical to the other sellers (This seller uses a white background in their photos).

Therefore, I think that this seller has 4 accounts, rather than the 3 I suggested earlier. I have a photo of one of the coins this new account is selling, although I suspect that they are fakes anyway.

The seller has also listed a so-called medallion of Maximinus, which is very similar to the medallion of Nepotian I have submitted in a fake coin report for the seller vespasiana1981

Should I show the name of this new seller and a link to their eBay page, or should I start a new topic for that?

Thanks!

(P.S Sorry there is only one photo; the others were too big to upload)

However, I suspect that this seller has multiple accounts; the accounts of jim5658 , vespasiana1981 and red-one73

EDIT:

Sorry to add more confusing stuff to this, but the seller rainbowraw may be another account of this person. They, like the other 4 I have mentioned, have got round numbers as prices, £1.77 for postage, based in Tranent, copies descriptions from Wikipedia etc., so identical to the other sellers. Earlier, I suggested that rainbowraw may have been where this person gets their stock from, but now I suspect that they have been buying fake coins from their own accounts so to build up positive feedback and earn a reputation as a trusted seller (although they are already on the NFSL).

A link to rainbowraw's page is https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/rainbowraw/m.html?item=223148674879&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I hope that this person doesn't have any more accounts that need to be added to the NFSL!

Thanks!

Thanks!

There was another account that this seller has too (sorry I didn't mention the name) who has listed the siliqua of Constantius that I showed in my second post. Obviously, this is a fake too. This seller's name is la4land and a link to their eBay page is https://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=la4land . Again, their coins and selling habits are in every way identical to the other sellers I have mentioned, so it is another account of this person.

Sorry I didn't mention that earlier, but I wasn't sure whether I should have added it as a new topic, judging that this is another account of jim5658, rainbowraw, vespasiana1981 and red-one73.

Thanks for your help!
