ALL YOUR COINS.com
« on: July 15, 2018, 10:07:52 am »
Hello,

I just released my informative site. Website developed by a company pro, we worked a year on the design of this site, to allow features and a perfect display!

Details:

- Estimates of modern coins (to come also for the ancient ones) based on the reality of the market: the real prices at which you can buy and sell the coins. https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/modern-coins/

- A search engine by image with 2600 images, including 1000 portraits of emperors classified by workshops and 1600 different types of reverses classified in 42 categories, allowing you to identify your Roman coins (same thing to come for Byzantine, Gallic, Parthian coins etc.). Choose from these 42 categories of reverses here: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/search-by-picture/romaines-167/

Choose the corresponding category, subcategories open and allow you to refine your search. You finally arrive on your lapel and notice color codes indicating the metal in which this reverse was struck. The reverses are linked to an emperor having struck him (as an example while waiting for the completion, because to bind everything, is a work extremely consequent). Example of the approach below (in order of results):

For emperors portrait: Choose the category following the metal. This eliminates emperors who have not struck in this metal:

https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/search-by-picture/romaines-167/portraits-des-empereurs-168/empereurs-par-metal-279/

This image search engine is Here, not only for beginners and i know this forum contain many specialist. But even for specialists, this can be really usefull. The search engine is also a restoration work. I explain, I managed, working with enormous magnification, to redo, the face, the clothes and the hair of all the emperors. This includes very rare emperors whose coins are always smooth or very damaged! Same thing for unique reverses! With a magnification we can see the remaining traces of engraving and by combining several copies, I managed to gather all the elements allowing me to remake the portrait or the reverse, as it was at the time when money was circulating. This work with software sometimes goes up to 4 hours for a single photo! And there are 2600! A blatant example of restoration with Zenonis, here is the usual quality of Zenonis' (very rare) coins: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1841068

If you want to see the result of my restoration, I let you go in the category portraits of emperors, then select "bronze" and go down to Zenonis (last result).

This is a real library and a giant painting, plunging you to the time of the Romans. You also have an anthology of unique setbacks! The second utility of the part "type of reverse" and that we can now have under our eyes, a very useful gathering, each type of reverse and its variants of positions, objects etc .... The categories "allegories standing "and" allegories sitting "being quite huge, with all the attributes of each allegory (pax, libertas ...) parading before us and logically classified: with cornucopia, then, with cornucopia and child to his feet etc.

- An ancient database. I did a lot of work on Vetranio. You can view this work here: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/emperors/romaines/vetranion

You benefit from a study of style that I realized about this emperor. Each type of coin struck, has a style chart showing you the types of portraits (obverse) that we meet for each workshop. Same thing for the reverse. Illustrations of currencies that are not available on the internet, allowing you to finally see what they can look like, example here with the type VIRTVS EXERCITVM heavy Miliarense (photos not found):

The style study also allows you to identify your workshop without having the brand! If your mint mark is erased, you can check my style tables. For example, the Thessaloniki workshop can show a triangular standard top, emperor laureate on the reverse only on another workshop ... All kinds of unique elements to these workshops that I listed.

New also, the presentation of the mint marks: thanks to Joe Sermarini for permission of use the symbols of forum ! See the photo about marks presentation:

We have now for the first time on the internet, a clear system of presentation of the symbols and marks of workshop .... according to their position on the coin! The marks present at the exergue are shown below the horizontal bar, and the marks in the field of the coin, to the left or to the right of the vertical bar. I can even display a mark above the vertical bar, in case, there is a symbol present at 12 o'clock!

Browse also my discoveries for Vetranio. I have identified a portrait of Constance II unpublished, a variant scepter or spear ... I leave you free to discover, these many things that are present only on this site. Tens of thousands of currencies analyzed! This same work is in progress for Helen and will arrive little by little for other emperors. I still have many new things to show you. The site evolves every day, you can also see the evolution directly on the home page: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/
Latest estimated currencies, articles ... I will also put estimates on the ancient coins in the coming weeks.

Among others! 24 other articles in preparation on unpublished coins and unreferenced or sought after forever!

I will also put modern world coins.

The purpose of this site is to group everything that is lost to the right and left, in very scarce books that can not be found, coins seen on salons and then forgotten ... With this site, everything is simple, we take a picture, we add . Which avoids noticing and then forgetting or doubting what we have seen. The books do not allow to put millions of photos ... On my site there are already more than 3000! An addition, a discovery? No need to write a new book that will be obsolete in three months, as we make discoveries every day. The site is updated!

Not to mention the ranking advantages listed above, which will be useful even for an expert, who will not waste his time, for example, looking everywhere for a picture of a supposedly "existing" coin to confirm a die link or other. A huge time saving for everyone!

Another advantage: with the retouched photo system when I classify the coinss in the database, you can send your coins here: https://www.all-your-coins.com/en/contact

Without being afraid that your coin is traced, listed in its exact form and appearance. Do you do detection? You do not want to talk about your discoveries? Make an anonymous deposit! I undertake to list the coin in the form explained above, so that no one can make the link between your coin and the one listed. It's still better to know what has been found than to know nothing at all and miss out on discoveries! Detectorists, you can come  :) no one will ask you questions here.

If you want to be quoted, I can do it too.

Good navigation and do not hesitate to return regularly to the site that grows every day. Already look at what I produced in one year, including the total design of the site!
