A nice and rare Domitian "PONT" Denarius
« on: November 24, 2017, 01:01:26 pm »
Hello everyone,

while waiting the delivery of the PONT aureus I posted a couple of days ago, I came across a rare denarius from the same issue.

This coin arrived today and has a lovely dark toning.

The portrait is very Titus-like and, as a testimony of it rarity, it seems to be from the same die as the example that David Atherton posted lat september, as well as my example of RIC 27.

Kind regards

Alberto
