Ummm, I may have already posted these cool babies in my gallery? (they're actually two books that I bought for my sweet wife ... oh, and I didn't sell them ... I just thought that they're kinda cool and I also thought that you guys being collectors might think that they're kinda cool?)

... anyway ...

They are very old and very cool (one is a first edition and I think that the other is a second/early edition ... ummm, if you care)

Enjoy the awesomeness of the "old days"

Nice => that's an awesome item, Enodia

Yah, don't get me wrong, coins are my first love ... but antique books and old paper-notes are super cool as well (they're a bit more like "artwork", which is kind of cool ... as you know, paper is a lot more difficult to keep in good shape than metal)

... I guess I merely like collecting "stuff" (I have old vinyl records from my youth, coins, hockey/NFL cards, etc ... it's all pretty neat)

Thanks for looking though my gallery and commenting ... I really do always love to hear your comments (good and/or bad)

Cheers, gang

Here is a rookie card of Joe Montana ... again, not quite as cool as ancient coins, but still pretty cool, right?

 ;)

Cheers, my coin-friends ... I hope that you're all having a great Saturday

THE JOE!!! (*enodia genuflects*)

I have all of his cards but that one. I once got an autographed Namath card in a pack of Fleers, and some kid in the card shop offered to buy it from me.
To make a short story long I had no interest in Namath but since he had 3 or 4 Montana rookies i said i would trade him for one, straight up. He agreed enthusiastically,  but then showed up at our house the very day we were moving to Oregon with $167 in cash and a stack of mildly interesting football cards, none of which were the coveted rookie card. He said he had $200, but had to buy pizza and beer the night before.   ::)
Being in a moving frenzy i agreed, and never did get that Joe.
Ahh well...

- Peter
PS; i also still have about 650 vinyl albums. There is nothing like analog sound!

We do have 400+ vinyl records, but my son discovered how cool they are and gradually moves them from our house to his flat...we pretend not noticing !
Out of them are more than 30 Frank Zappa's, a favorite of mine

JC

BTW Steve I love your griffin on the previous page !

PS : and don't smoke near the oxygen, you would burst your house !!!

Thanks for the comments, gang ... it's nice to see that we all seem to like collecting "lots of things", not just ancient coins, eh?

Oh, and thanks for the smoking advice, Potator II ... I will try to keep my smoking habits contained (I always play it safe when it comes to smoke and oxygen)
