web site is getting a major upgrade. It will now have its own true 'stand alone' domain hosting. Since ptolemybronze.com first went live it was hosted within another site but it will now be completely 'free-standing'. All the existing content will be there - the same features and pages aren't going to change, but they will all become accessible as:http://www.ptolemybronze.com/
For everyone who accessed popular images or pages (like the downloadable papers, the 'coin photos' page, etc.) on the site by starting from its home
page there should be no difference in how it looks and works. For those who took 'short-cuts' directly to other pages in the site (using links that refer to the 'surrounding' site's HTML pages, etc.) this will mean those pages stored as shortcuts or bookmarks that bypassed the home
page will need to be re-created. If you stored the 'coin photos' page, for example, as a direct shortcut or bookmark please access it again *from the home
page* and re-store your bookmark or shortcut.
Sorry for any inconvenience but it was always intended that this web site would some day migrate to a 'true hosted' web system. That day has arrived. That is also one reason the webmaster has discouraged posting or lifting of images from the site (in addition to their copyrights); or directly linking to the site's content - those direct accesses to content (links to content 'beneath' the home
page) in the old site structure necessarily includes references to the 'host' site within which ptolemybronze.com lived. Those 'direct content' links and references will no longer be valid but all the content is still
there and you can simply find those same images, pages, articles, etc. by starting from the home
page and refresh your bookmarks and shortcuts so they conform to the more modern web hosting system's content structure.
This hosting upgrade will also make it possible to more easily improve the look and feel of the site in the future and add things like databases, etc. that would have been much more difficult to implement in the old 'site within a site' hosting format.
Please bear with me and please reply here if you experience difficulties or encounter any broken features other than those that will necessarily be due to the new hosting structure. The transformation should be completely quickly and the site is being re-created in its new format as this post is being written here.
Thank you for your support and patience. It's a good
