Title: Does anyone have any information on this Julian Solidus?
Post by: Edward H2 on September 19, 2019, 09:32:23 am
I recently purchased this solidus for only a bit over spot gold value.  The seller of the coin said he thought it was an ancient counterfeit.

After doing some research i was able to find what looks to be the exact coin here:

This source stats that the coin is a German counterfeit of a Roman coin,  is this true?  And does anyone happen to have any other information that may be useful about this coin.

thank you!
