This was purchased as an Indo-Scythian coin from Maues.
The tag says MACW 2055 but I don't have that volume of
Mitchiner.
I see a reference in my old copy of De Morgan's Manuel de Numsimatique Orientale (page 374) to a square AE of Maues (Moa) with
obverse "Dr. Cavalier" - which I interpret as Draped horseman - and
reverse Victory. Seems like this coin but hard to say without an image.
Strangely I can't find an image of the coin anywhere -
Forum,
Wildwinds,
zeno, etc.
Can anyone confirm this is indeed a Maues coin and provide any more reference?
