Yes this item is original. It is being sold by Forum Ancient Coins whose owner Joe Sermarini runs and funds this forum. You can guarantee that everything he sells is original unless otherwise stated.

I have bought one of these little boatmen from him myself and am very pleased with it. I guess that the several figures come from a model boat that has long since been broken up, maybe in antiquity.
