« on: September 12, 2021, 01:52:42 am »
Dear Forvm Community,

Please help with identification of this tetradrachm, which mint is it?

What is it at eagle's feet?

And any reference if possible.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Alex

a leg up for you ..looks like this one

Caracalla AR Tetradrachm of Antioch, Syria. ANTΩNEINOC . CE AYT K M A, laureated head right / ΔHMAΡX EΞ YΠATOC TO Δ, eagle standing facing, head right with wreath in beak, cornucopiae and star between legs.
or
Caracalla AR Tetradrachm, Arados, Phoenicia. AD 215-217. 29 mm, 14.40 g. AYT K M A ANTΩNEINOC CE, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / ΔHMAΡX EΞ YΠATOC TO Δ, eagle standing front, head right, tail right, holding wreath in beak. Bull's head between legs. Prieur 1238.

have delta and eagle head right
but dont match between legs which seems to be key

Thanks, George, seems like your first suggestion fits the coin. So if that's the case it must be Prieur 242, i guess.
