Caligula coin, doubt!
« on: May 27, 2021, 10:13:17 am »
Hello friends, I would like to share my As de Caligula; purchased from a trusted seller; but it seems to me to be a repatriated piece; it has a little wear on the letters ERM, looking with the magnifying glass seems natural to me. I would like the opinion of colleagues. Thanks in advance: Dimensions :29,50mm , 13,07gms

My personal opinion....

It seems to be OK from the images.  There is no evidence of an edge casting seem, and the lettering looks nicely defined against the fields.  The wear pattern looks consistent with an authentic piece.

Again, my personal opinion.

To me it looks like a nice, above-average example of the type.  If its yours, congratulations on a nice coin.
