Roman Denarius with Female Obv
« on: March 26, 2014, 06:38:57 pm »
Roman empire denarius with female bust obverse, hair in 'cornrows' but letters not sharp or clear.  Might have to rely on the portrait style and 'look'.  Reverse's inscription is better and its design is also clear.

ID appreciated from you Roman experts - you know who you are :)

Only one of those three ladies used the reverse CERERI FRVGIF. Any idea which one?

Masis has reported that it's Julia Domna.  Kindest thanks to folks for this speedy identification.

Maybe the other posts on identifying your Julia Domna Denarius were deleted ?

Other than Curtis' reply, which was a question (a tease?) to you, I don't see any other "folks" posts giving an identification???

Is it against Forum rules  or etiquette for a titled member to directly thank an untitled member?
