Cache of Roman swords found in Israel

Archeologists working in caves near the Dead Sea have produced some more stunning finds. This time Roman swords that were probably captured by the Judean forces during the Bar Kokhba Revolt (132–135 AD).

I'm very pleased that a Forum member has picked up on this important archeological discovery of preserved Roman swords in a Dead Sea cave. I knew that the Forum would pick up on this discovery sooner or later.

Archaeologists said the exceptionally preserved artifacts are dated to the 2nd century, when Jewish rebels launched an uprising against the Roman Empire. CREDIT: AP
