Constantine XI 1/8 Stavraton

Shown below is a 1/8 stavraton of Constantine XI which first appeared in a Heritage auction in 2021 and is currently on offer by another prominent auction house.
This coin is interesting because it did not appear in the well-known hoard of Constantine XI types documented by Bendall, and nor do the dies of this coin match any coins in that hoard.
Nonetheless the coin certainly looks genuine, which suggests perhaps that it comes from a minting separate from the one that evidently produced the Bendall types.
