Have you looked through the arrow and bolt head references message stuck to the top of this thread for possible parallels?

Unfortunately i couldn’t see a similar one. Maybe La Tene culture, maybe not.

??? The area where it found is highly relevant.  It tells us the possible cultures that it might come from.

Especially as very similar arrowheads were used by many cultures.

If it was found in England we can rule out Ottoman Turks, if found in Turkey we can rule out the English, etc.

As Shawn said. Also, when you tell me that my question is irrelevant, I'm done with you.

:D No, you all misunderstood. I meant that the place that it had been found is very very far away from La Tene culture area… i didn’t write anything contrary to your question, the word  “irrelevant” is not for your question; it is for the geography :D  please consider the two messages as one message…

Ah, no problem.  You meant its find location is not relevant to the La Tene culture....  That makes sense - your posts re always friendly so I wondered.

Personally, I think it is later than La Tene, possibly medieval.

OK, no worries.

I also think medieval is a good possibility.

Thank you very very much masters; i will try to do my best for writing in English frow now on, but please, even my sentences seem confusing, understand them in a positive way :)

In fact i wonder that; as we consider the find location as a historical struggle area; is that from Byzantine, Seljuks or Mongols? To which one is it closer or by which of them has it densely been used? At least, even the possible century or centuries is enough for me initially :)

Vaspurakan is located in what is now southeastern Turkey and northwestern Iran, the region is considered to be the cradle of Armenian civilization. Shawn and Joe are indeed correct about the arrowhead’s medieval origins because it probably relates to the history of early medieval Armenia (7th–9th centuries) which is often studied in the context of the struggle between the Byzantine Empire and the Arab Caliphate for Armenia and the Caucasus in general. The strengthening of Byzantium and the Arabs weakening in the second half of the 9th century led to a change of the geopolitical situation in the Caucasus, which allowed Armenians to create an independent Bagratid state (884/886–1045/1064) which in reality continued to be under the influence of these Empires: https://lvivmedievalclub.wordpress.com/2018/07/12/arms-and-armour-of-bagratid-armenian-noblemen-late-9-th-mid-11-th-centuries/

Thank you very very much for this detailed and precious information; even if it seems broken (maybe used in a battle) tells a lot about the chaotic history of that region.

Sincerely
