benito:
I have just inaugurated benito's antiquities ( precolumbian) gallery with a nice Copador vase. Enjoy.

Mark Z:

Happy to oblige.
Size 22,3 cms h. Diameter at rim ,17,2.Sorry,never weigh my artifacts.  Copador style. Late classic (Mesoamerica 600-850 AD). Find site, area of El Paraiso,  Chalatenango Department , El Salvador.
Pic not very good. Represents three seated dignataries in full regalia, and very formal pose..Blood dripping from the finger of the individual seen in the pic.Above band of glyphs.. Have a very long description in Spanish that I will translate in technical terms..
In the future,as soon as I get some practice with my camera I will include an horizontal display image of the walls of PC vases in benito's collection.. For the moment,as practice, four more pieces uploaded in benito's antiquities gallery.
1. Nazca cup.

2.Tohil plumbate vase.  Early post-classic. ( NOTE )

3. Maya  "poison bottle".

4. Copador tetrapod vase.

(NOTE.). If those inclined to coin scrubbing suddenly decide to collect Precolumbian artifacts I highly recommend this ware (Tohil or San Juan varieties). Fired at very high temperatures, high iron content and almost glazed.. With your tootbrush and running water you will obtain FTK results.
