Posthumous Alexander Tetradrachm without mintmarks
« on: August 14, 2013, 05:34:13 am »
Here's an Alexander Tetradrachm without any mintmarks that I struggle with - I'm looking for the mint, approx. date and Price number. 30-33 mm, 16.70 g, I'm guessing Black Sea region.

The style is closer to Price 1473 (Sinope), 215-200 BC apparently...

There is an obverse die matching between the coin in question and the coin in Minos's second post.

I agree, same obverse die. Excellent, thank you both for the help!
