Need Help Carthage Coin
« on: May 14, 2023, 11:47:00 am »
Hi,
I am new here,
I have recently bought this coin from a trustful byer.
I have tried to do some preliminary researches, but I am not able to verify & classify this piece.
As I don't have the expertise and material to get more details about it..
I am wondering if there is any one who can help on this.
I am attaching this photo along the the details of this coin.

Thank you

That looks like a bad cast to me.

Can't tell if it is cast or just harshly cleaned with chemicals or electolosis.  Certainly not electrum.

I think it is certainly cast - soapy, bubbles, pearls, edge crack that is rounded rather than jagged, file marks.
