new coin to show
« on: April 01, 2009, 08:19:41 pm »
Hello all,
Just wanted to show my latest coin.
Its an H 467,I liked this one because it has a nice Hebrew legend.
It does look better in hand than the scan.
Obviously its an AJC Aa /TJC N but its tough to pin down numbers.
I have also added several others to my gallery,if you want to take a look.
Take care

Thanks for the reply Robert,
Ya know,I was thinking N1,but I wasn't sure.
I guess the style of the anchor doesn't matter as much as the size of the lily.
In TJC there are only 2 types with this style of letters(non cursive).
The N1 and the N7,which has a "knot in the diadem",mine has a dent, I guess that leaves N1.
In AJC,however, there are 7 types of non cursive script (and 8 cursive).
I can rule out 4 types, and out of the 3 left, the closest matching lily is the Aa1.
Any way,
thanks again Robert
