Ave!

Silver alloy; 25mm/9.6gm   "Kugelwange" type?

This is perhaps a very rare and unpublished variant of the "Kugelwange" type (also called Srem type). In fact, there are some variants, which stylistically differ very much from the well-known standard type, but this example goes well beyond any previously known example I have ever seen. Is that even a face? Looks more like sea monsters on it.

Have any of you ever seen anything like this bizarre and rather freakish image of Zeus?

Best to all,

Kevin
