Dear all,
I used to be active on these boards many years ago when my collecting (and time for it) fell by the wayside. Nevertheless, a recent message from Joe got me back into it, so I will take this opportunity to make myself known again, and extend my greetings to acquaintances old and new!
It's good to be back and I look forward to contributing to the forum once again!

Dear Will (and Board),
So good to have you back again! It is funny how Dane Kurth just recently mentioned you in a post here! Yes, it has been a while, but I completely understand how a lack of time can force one to make some painful choices. This year, I had wanted to write up some special, article worthy posts for Forvm, but the farm work has been horrendously demanding this summer, leaving me with not even enough time or energy most days to write to close friends.
Anyway, it feels like part of the Forvm family is back! That said, my advice for you is do not feel like you have to post much. Take it easy and enjoy yourself, which is one of the underlying principles of coin collecting/numismatics.
Best regards,
Mark Fox

Thanks Joe and Mark!
Mark, I look forward to those articles, when you get the time. I am also looking at penning something, as over these few years away I have been travelling a lot, and I have accumulated quite a few photos from museums and ancient sites that I thought to make available to the public royalty free. I have a need to share, which is I guess what brought me back. Outside of the Forum gang, none of my immediate friends or relatives have even the slightest interest in ancient history, and a hobby is not fulfilling unless it can be shared, IMO.
If Joe is still hosting websites I might get busy with that, over the next few months.

Hi Alex and Shawn!
Long time no see! Shawn, do you still have USSR WW2 memorabilia left over? Guess what I collect now too!
Joe, that's very good to hear. I will get a plan for a site together and apply to Alex.

Hi Will,
For your ancient sites photographs there is already an "Ancient Sites Photo Gallery" set up in the "Theme Gallery" section. All you have to do is add your own photos to it. And, as I already mentioned, I look forward to seeing them.

Will,

Alex I had forgotten about that but it's considerably easier!
I have started adding a few busts, but it will be a slow process for now, given I'm still on holiday! 😁

Great photos Will.
That bust of Domitian is the weirdest portrayal of him I have ever seen! ;D

Thanks Alex!
Yes the face is very badly proportioned. It was doubtless in the Temple of Domitian in Ephesus, the first neocorus for the city. After Domitians overthrow it was rededicated to Vespasian.
I dare say the Ephesians were relieved to be rid of that horrible mug! 😂
