SBCV 2493 of Andronicus III(?)
« on: February 25, 2016, 04:42:43 am »
Readers might be interested in these two examples of the rare trachy Sear 2493, DO 845.
Note that the reverse is the mirror image of equally rare type SBCV 2489, B&D p.240,10, PCPC 260. The obverse is obscure but could be a bust of a military saint.

This fourth example of SBCV 2493 surfaced recently.
The obverse remains uncertain.
