I think this is marked wrong. Says Augustus -7 BC but says RIC 431. That ain't right.

That is an Augustus 'moneyer' series as. It also has quite a serious case of bronze disease

What makes you say RIC 431 is notcorrect? RIC I 431 is a Augustus Moneyers As under M Salvis Otho. I cant make out enough legend to say for sure, but it seems like a possibility?

There are lots of RIC 431's, need to match the Volume and ruler as well.

The bronze disease needs to be halted or there won't be any coin left to match with an RIC number. Also, don't let it come in contact with other bronzes you have as the chemical reactions can spread. Search under the term "bronze disease" on here and you'll find some discussions about this sort of problem. After that put it in an acid-free, PVC free flip. Don't keep it (or anything else) in that envelope anymore.

The container is not older than 1984, as the revised

It could be older and someone merely wrote that on it then. In any case, don't keep it in there anymore.

Thanks. I've got a box of flips to use. I'll take all my coins out of the envelopes.
