I thought I would post something I have owned for a couple years now. It isn't an antiquity, but it is certainly an antique, and certainly authentic.

It is a samurai helmet (kabuto) with faceguard (menpo) from a period in Japanese history that straddles the end of their warring period and the beginning of a time of peace (Late Momoyama-Early Edo Period 1568-1611).

My next goal is an authentic Illyrian helmet. That goal got pushed out a bit with the global economy, but it hasn't fallen off the radar.

Hope you find this interesting.

I am sure there are folks here who have the odd but interesting item. Love to see them.
