The reign of the Emperor Probus - Crees
« on: March 14, 2007, 12:52:03 pm »
The reign of the Emperor Probus - James H. E. Crees, published by Elibron Classics, ISBN 1-4021-9698-9.
This book is an unabridged facsimile of the 1911 original.
I read this book some time back and thought it worth sharing my impressions of it with you all.
This book spends most of its time comparing and contrasting the various sources that address this period of history and explaining why the information provided by them cannot be trusted. It is a very tough, if relatively short read and I came away from it without having expanded my knowledge on the subject area greatly.
I cannot recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more on the life of the emperor Probus:(
Regards,
Martin
