hope that your day is going well... here is coin definitely struck in Perge/Perga, by a
Julia. Stylistically/legendary, it's similar to
Julia Mamaea RPC IV: 6144. What stymies me is that the
bust is different-similar to
Julia Domna, there are no crescents or stars, etc. The
Obverse legend could very well read IOY
IA
/ O then M two letters then
CEB. Or, there could be some funny business with cojoining of A almost M and A, and that device could be a roseate instead of a
star... I can't find any
Julia Domna issues for the city, and the
bust type seems to be hers... any ideas would be gratefully received.
