Hi GL,

The comet on the reverse is a reference to Julius Caesar, but this type was issued by Augustus.

It looks similar to RIC 37, but I don't think your example is authentic. The style is wrong, and the obverse legend is wrong.

It is either a modern counterfeit or an ancient barbarous imitation.

What is the metal?  Weight?  It appears to be made of lead--I think this is a modern product.
