Title: Doubt about lamp

Good morning

The following lamp does not convince me as authentic, it represents weapons of the gladiators, helmet sword shield

thanks for any opinions

I specify that this is just my feeling, probably due to the freshness of the lamp, I'm not an expert on it

The carbon build up at the lip and dirt are good signs.  Doesn't guarantee authenticity but are not found on the cheap fakes.

We have a real lamp expert -strobilius - here who is not on every day but will hopefully weigh in with his views.

The style, fabric, surface and shallow depth suggest your lamp is an authentic Loeschcke Type IV made in Cyprus during the second half of the 1st century AD.

Gladiatorial equipment is not an uncommon theme on Cypriot lamps of this period (see for example Lightfoot 2021, 312).
