Hi all,

I couldn't read this coin, I thought it to be a Constantinopolis commemorative. But I guess not. I'd appreciate any help

Thanks

Hi!

It is not a Constantinopolis commemorative, but a GLORIA EXERCITVS type. I can read TIVS in front of the head, making it Constantius II.

Best regards

Thanks a lot for the help

Is it a diadimed, cuirassed and draped bust ? I am trying the attribution tool and can't decide the bust type.

best regards

Jon

Yes, pearl diademed, you can make out the two rows of pearls.  It appears to be a head only, not a bust.

Thanks,

I realized it doesn't have a cuirass, nor a drape. I am learning slowly.

Best regards,

Jon

Well, I realized from the attribution tool that if the bust isn't draped and cuirassed then it should be a CONS mint.

However I think I am reading SMANA or at least A and M so the coin would be an Antioch mint draped and cuirassed.

It is hard to attribute for an intermediate collector like me .

best regards

What attribution tool?

Mintmark may be SMANBI  (officina 12)

Hi,

Best regards,
