Can you post a side view?  is it a solid piece or does it sandwich something iron - like a folding knife??

It is a silver object, empty in the middle. When I found it, it was in a piece of charred earth after a fire and it was with some coins, also burned, from the 16th century.

A folding knife was my thought as well. ;)

What are the dimensions, please?

The residual rust remains does suggest that something iron was fit into the end.
Knife blade? Perhaps even a key?
