Roman glass from 2nd Century AD, real or fake?
« on: February 10, 2017, 06:08:06 pm »
Hi all

I bought this Roman glass piece this week

It apparently dates to the 2nd Century AD and has a slight patina at the bottom too, along with some oxidation on the surface. It also has very small bubbles still in it from when it was apparently made?, it has a spiral glass on the top for basic ornamentation too.

I look forward to hearing comments on this piece as to whether it is authentic or not.
