Off topic help please. I have a 19th century French historical medal that I can use help translating the inscription.

A NOS FIDELES SUJETS POUR AVOIR SPONTANEMENT ET DE LEURS DENIERS RETABLI LA STATUE DE NORTE VI AIEUL HENRI IV.

My French is merd, but It seems a dedication regarding fund-raising for repairing a statue.

“From our faithful subjects and their sums of money to refurbish the statue of our [norte for notre? 6th grandfather (i.e., great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather?) Henry IV.

I'll ask a Gaulish friend of mine to do a bit better.

After speaking with a Francophile friend of mine, she remarked that the syntax (word order) of the legend seems odd.  Are portions of the coin's legend in sections (i.e., concentric circles)?  

And I assume norte is an error for notre?

Nothing more to add, except that the transcription "NORTE VI AIEUL" is mistaken, should be "NOTRE (our) AIEUL (ancestor)".
