Both lamps appear to be genuinely ancient - though neither of them are Roman (in the traditional Western sense of the term).

The first lamp is from northern Syria, late 5th - early 7th century AD. The second lamp (missing its handle) is from northern Palestine/southern Syria and of the same period or a little later. Neither would have been "British Found"; such lamps are not found in Britain.
