Celtic Ring Money?

(1/1)

Copper alloy; 50mm/13.6gm

My first thought was that this was a bronze age Celtic bracelet...perhaps for a child? But now, after seeing the examples here on Forum, I'm thinking that it may be ring money.

Thoughts, anyone?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

This is so-called "Celtic ring money" , no one has proved that this is money....
I have several type and size of this between, 2cm to 8 cm diameter...and different thickness and a different number of "cams" on it...   ::) ::) ::)

Like quadrant said, no one has proved that this was money.  I think things like hair ornaments and harness ornaments are much more likely.
