Just bought it back : Terentius Varro

Hi,

I just bought back this coin (which I sold a year ago) as it is, in spite of its off-centering on the observe, one of the most beautiful Roman coins that I had betwwen the majesty of the portrait and the symbolic perfection of its reverse.
Minted by the Pompeians before Pharsalus (49 BC).

Thanks for posting!  The obverse really nicely shows that it is a statuary bust; that detail is usually completely worn away.  Great eagle.
