Biblical archaeology and Biblical Studies sites
« on: September 25, 2004, 07:55:02 am »
There's a massive collection of links here, mainly Biblical Studies, but with a section on Biblical archaeology. I'll add sites as I can; if anyone else has any links please do add them, but lets keep it to respectable academic or semi-academic sites, so as to avoid unreliable stuff.

Those are some really awesome sites.  I'm interested in the quotes from Joesphus and the Talmud about Jesus (the third link).  Kinda lays to rest any arguments about the historicity of Jesus.  Now if he was all Christians claim he was is another story, but as compared to the recently revealed frauds concerning the James Ossuary and other artifacts, it's surpising more people don't know about this.

Thanks for the links Robert!

I've always been interested in Biblical Archaeology and all these links are right up my Alley.

Really like the Historical Jesus links. Have you ever read Michael Grant's book Jesus: An Historians Review? I quite enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Mr. Benchley,

Thank you for these links.  I, too, am intrigued with Biblical exegesis and archaeology.  Hermeneutics is a key part of the attempt at understanding both the ancient and contemporary worlds.

High regards!
