Bronze wolf's heads are found as patter handles or the handle ends of whetstones.

However, with the small curved bit at the end this is neither.

Some fixture embedded into wood?  Chest or furniture ornament?

Nice piece. I would have described it as a handle or part of a door knocker.  When depicted on greek coins, an ox head [sorry, I said  wolf's head] is described as a 'bucranium.'

I thought a Bucranium was an ox skull.

All this discussion is moot until the piece has been properly cleaned and conserved.
It could be anything, possibly Celtic in origin? If so, even more pragmatical.

thank you for comment maybe it could be celtic but there is no celtic coinage in the area just illyro hellenistic  but there is one thing that i noticed a lot of celtic weapons if they are celtic see my post above  it seems that illyrian and greeks imported  them a lot there was only one celtic gold coin i posted somewhere here
