Hi

Can anyone tell me if this ancient porcelain vase is Roman or Islamic or Chinese and from what era.

It is a vase 50 cm high. It is transparent to light in the dark.

It has two handles but one of them is broken

Thanks for your help.

I have not seen anything like it, so probably not Roman or Greek. Are you sure it is ancient?

I think it's ancient because it was found underground. Because of the shape of the cover it could be Islamic.

Hello Tanit!  The precise word for "transparent to light in the dark" is "translucent."  A small point, but it might simplify your search.  Best wishes, Jim

I agree it has an Islamic look, but in this case, my opinion isn't worth much.
