Another Quadran's coin type is also very interesting and rare, probably unpublished, RIC686var. In Alföldi, Siscia... is listed in Table XVII, Type 32 (Felicitas with caduceus & cornucopiae), obverse type - Radiate, cuirassed bust right, which is Alföldi 32/5, to whom four specimens are known (Missong, Voetter, Venèra hoard 2605 (2)). According to Pink, this issue belongs to 2nd emission, AD 277.
However, this specimen has - Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, which represents unpublished variant of Alföldi 32/5 and RIC 686.
Interesting point: while types Alf. 32/1-3 do have officinae mark in the field, types 32/4 and 32/5 belong to the small group of sician antoniniani without officinae marks.
Teutoburgium
Sorry, I was unable to find this other Quadrans's coin (is it possible to give the direct link to it?), but the link given by Teutoburgium to Koffy's
gallery on FAC (I attach it again here below) doesn't show a coin corresponding to the reference he gives : Alföldi 32, 5.
( Alföldi 32,5 : D/
IMP PROBVS
INV AVG
cuirassed bust r. ; R/
FELICITAS AVG N, Felicitas holding a long
caduceus and a
cornucopiae, mark -/-//XXI )
Koffy's coin (below) shown by Teutoburgium, corresponds to Alföldi 32,2 : D/
IMP PROBVS
INV AVG
draped bust r. seen from behind ; R/
FELICITAS AVG N, Felicitas holding a long
caduceus and a
cornucopiae, mark -/
//XXI. Koffy's coin is beautiful but relatively common : I know 10 specimens.
All these coins from
Siscia display many variants in titulatures, busts,
types (this is the case for Felicitas which holds different attributes), and marks...
