Definitely an archer's ring and I'd guess Roman, 1st through 4th century A.D.

I have seen these as Roman but I have also seen it reported as definitely medieval and not Roman.  Some sources says no rings were used by the Romans.  I don't know the truth.  Worth more research I think.
